About me

My mission, values, and passions

About me

I'm a UX designer, startup founder, and community builder dedicated to designing digital experiences that improve social wellbeing and foster connection.

My work lives at the intersection of design, technology, and social impact. I’m passionate about solving complex human problems through culturally informed, accessible products that make people feel seen, supported, and included.

My Mission

To create intentional, inclusive digital experiences that build belonging and improve wellbeing.

I believe design should be usable, human-first, and deeply rooted in real-life needs. Whether I’m building platforms to combat student loneliness or designing AI tools to support overwhelmed university staff, I always ask: How can this be simpler, kinder, and more accessible?

My Values

Intentionality
I care about building only what matters. Every design choice, from layout to microcopy, should serve a clear purpose and reflect user needs.

Accessibility
Accessibility isn’t a feature, it’s foundational. I’m committed to creating experiences that are usable for all people, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. This means designing with inclusive patterns, clear information, and empathy from the very beginning.

Empathy
I lead with listening. I ground my design work in user interviews, collaborative co-design, and thoughtful testing; always centering the lived experiences of others.

Community

Whether I’m mentoring students, co-designing with users, or working with multidisciplinary teams, I believe the best products emerge from shared ownership and deep trust.

Growth

Having studied and worked across Korea, China, and Australia, I thrive in new environments and continuously seek to broaden my design lens through global perspectives and learning. To create intentional, inclusive digital experiences that build belonging and improve wellbeing.

My Passions

I’m passionate about creating technology that supports:

1. Social connection, especially for students and young people navigating transitions, loneliness, or disconnection.
2. Mental and digital wellbeing, designing calm, empowering tools that reduce cognitive load and promote self-agency.
3. Cultural and linguistic inclusivity, shaped by my upbringing in Taiwan and China and ongoing interest in working across the Asia-Pacific.
4. Accessible design systems, making sure no one is left behind, whether due to a screen reader, neurodivergence, or language barrier.

This passion drives my work at Circula, the student-led platform I co-founded to help students navigate and engage with university life more easily. It also informs my role as an AI Design Analyst at the University of Melbourne, where I’ve been designing a chatbot to support thousands of students with simple, accessible services, reducing time-to-help without sacrificing human warmth.
